Conditions
of entry You will need your passport and/or your identity card. For
children of the European nations, aged under 16, an entry on the parent´s
passport will be sufficient.
Car
insurance
If
you travel with the car, then you must always carry your driving license
and any relevant car documents. Additionally we recommend you carry an
"international Green insurance card", since they serve as insurance proof
and in the case of an accident, you will be asked to produce evidence of
international insurance (either insurance document, reciept of payment,
or equally, the green card).
It
is advisable to be covered by fully comprehensive insurance, and to have
an accident policy as, unfortunately it is still possible that the Spanish
driver (despite obligatory insurance) may not have insurance on his
own car, therefore you cannot claim against them.
Customs
regulations
Within
the European Union there are regulations for exporting tobacco and alchohol.
The following are to be considered: You are permitted to carry either 800
cigarettes, 200 cigars, 400 small cigars or 1 kg smoking
tobacco. You are also permitted 10 litres of liquor or 20 litres
of other alcoholic beverages to 22% or 90 litres wine (consisting of a
maximum of 60 litres of champagne). This can be replaced by 40 litres
of beer.
